For taco lovers + cantina frequenters who want to explore Mexico City at night.

WALKING TOUR » 7 STOPS » 3.5 HOURS

Join Club Tengo Hambre on whirlwind nighttime excursion on the streets of Mexico City.

Over the course of the evening, we’ll eat our way through Centro Histórico on a taco-centric crawl, exploring the capital’s quintessential nighttime fare and after dark eateries that make Mexico City the world’s unrivaled taco capital.

We’ll hit 5 street food stops and pull up to the bar at a classic downtown cantina that is among the city’s oldest for a round of beers + tequila

Since no visit to Mexico City would be complete without visiting a pulqueria, we drop by a charming spot to taste pulque, a fermented alcoholic beverage once reserved only for Aztec nobility. We’ll end the night on a sugar high with a cajeta-stuffed churro fresh out of the oil.

Must be 18+ to participate.

THE RENDEZVOUS POINT

Hotel Downtown Mexico in the Centro Histórico neighborhood.

EAT. EAT. REPEAT.

Over the course of the evening our roving supper club will visit our favorite spots in Mexico City’s unrivaled street food scene, eating our way through the best of the city’s night time stands. We’ll also visit a pulqueria and a historic cantina.

ALL GOOD THINGS MUST COME TO AN END

With full bellies and slight buzzes, we’ll end at La Alameda park. There, you can grab an UBER, hop on the metro, or head to the nearest watering hole and continue the fun.

KNOW BEFORE YOU GO

We meet in front of the Hotel Downtown Mexico in Centro Histórico. The outings last 3.5 hours. It's a walking outing around Mexico City’s Centro neighborhood, so bring comfortable shoes, as there's a lot of walking involved. There's also a ton of food, so come hungry!

Mexico City’s traffic can be a nightmare of the best of days. We strongly encourage people to use public transportation to arrive at the meeting spot on time. The streets around Centro Histórico are regularly closed for events + demonstrations, which can snarl traffic for the entire city. CTH’s ‘Mexico City After Dark’ is rain or shine, so be prepared. June through September there exists a possibility of rain.

THE CTH WAY

A blogger once described Club Tengo Hambre outings this way: 'It felt like very cool friends were showing us around their town.' That's what CTH is all about. We are a roving supper club, not a food tour. Our trips are small, intimate gatherings. Our aim is to celebrate both the social aspect of food in bringing people together and the vibrant street food scene that makes Mexico’s capital city the best place in the world for street food. We want you to bring your friends + make new ones.
