Best of Condesa

For people who want to explore the diversity of Mexico City’s street cuisine in one of its most picturesque and tastiest neighborhoods.

Condesa Neighborhood » Walking food tour » 5 stops » 3.5 hrs

Club Tengo Hambre’s ‘Best of Condesa’ tour is a day devoted to devouring Mexico City’s street food diversity in one of the city’s most picturesque and tastiest neighborhoods.

From sumptuous tacos sold out of the back of a beat-up pickup truck to storied taquerias with decades of tradition, we’ll stroll through Condesa, the city’s tree-lined, park-filled ‘hood for an in-depth overview of some of the very best street cuisine that Mexico City has to offer.

Over the course of the day, we’ll explore Condesa’s street food in its spectrum of forms with 5 distinct regional dishes, from chile relleno guisado tacos to blue corn tlacoyos.

We’ll also visit a park side panadería to get our sweet fix in the form of conchas and pan de elote and finish our food-filled adventure at one of the most iconic traditional markets in the city.

For safety reasons, we do not accept children or anyone under 18 years of age. We welcome families with children on our private outings.

Includes:

  • 5 Mexico City street food stops

  • 1 traditional Mexican beverage

  • 1 stop at a traditional Mexico City market

  • CTH Host

  • CTH’s Guide to Mexico City

EAT. EAT. REPEAT.

Over the course of the day we’ll visit our favorite spots in Mexico City’s unrivaled curbside culinary scene, eating our way through the best of the city’s famed street food stands. We’ll also visit one of the city’s vibrant mercados.

ALL GOOD THINGS COME TO AN END

With full bellies, we’ll end the food tour outside Mercado de Medellín. There, you can grab an UBER, hop on the nearby MetroBus, or head to Mis Mezcales, a great little shop with an amazing selection of small-batch mezcals.

BEFORE YOU GO

It's a 5-stop walking tour around Mexico City’s Condesa neighborhood, so bring comfortable shoes, as there's a lot of walking involved. There's also a ton of food, so it's a good idea to skip breakfast!

Mexico City’s traffic can be a nightmare on the best of days. We strongly encourage people to use public transportation to arrive at the meeting spot on time. Demonstrations + parades regularly close the nearby Avenida Reforma, which can snarl traffic both in the Condesa neighborhood and around the entire city.

The summer months are Mexico City’s rainy season. While the rain normally starts in the late afternoon, well after our outings are through, CTH’s ‘Best of Condesa’ is rain or shine, so be prepared.

THE CTH WAY

A blogger once described Club Tengo Hambre outings this way: 'It felt like very cool friends were showing us around their town.' That's what CTH is all about. We are a roving supper club, not a food tour. Our trips are small, intimate gatherings. Our aim is to celebrate both the social aspect of food in bringing people together and the vibrant street food scene that makes Mexico’s capital city the best place in the world for street food. We want you to bring your friends + make new ones.
